To the Lasagna Love community,

This started simply because I wanted to help moms in my community. I thought it would just be me and my daughter cooking meals for a couple of months; never did I imagine where we would be today!

Lasagna Love has truly been a labor of love – not only for me, but for all of those involved.

To our 7000+ Lasagna Mamas and Papas across the country, our nearly 200 volunteer leaders, our donors and our team: thank you. Thank you for creating this movement. Thank you for giving hope during a time of uncertainty. Thank you for the goodness inside of you, that’s now spreading like wildfire.

To our recipient families: thank you for raising your hand, even when you were unsure. Thank you for asking for help, even when it was hard. Thank you for opening up and letting a neighbor into your life; know that it impacted them as much as a lasagna impacted you.

Here’s a quick recap of 2020:

  • We’ve fed over 15,000 families, with volunteers still sending in updates
  • We have volunteers signed up in every single state in the country
  • We were featured on the Today Show, in the Washington Post, in Forbes, on and on NBC Nightly News
  • Our volunteer base has grown over 4000% since September

Lasagna Love has become more than feeding families who are struggling. It’s become a movement of kindness. And kindness, friends, has a unique power to bring communities together, to lift people up, and to shine light where there has been darkness. And what’s even more wonderful is – kindness spreads. Kindness begets kindness isn’t just a phrase – there’s research that shows that one random act of kindness has a network effect. This means together we’re changing the fabric of this country, one lasagna delivery at a time.

I’m looking forward to 2021; to the families and volunteers we’ll impact, and to the kindness we’ll continue to scale. Thank you for being a part of this with me.
