Financial Transparency

The majority of our funding is provided in-kind through the generosity of our volunteers, who donate all of the ingredients to prepare and deliver a lasagna to a family. Beyond these in-kind donations, Lasagna Love relies primarily on the support of individual donors who believe in our mission and vision.

Because we have developed a successful fractional volunteer leadership model, and because we have no physical office locations, our operating expenses in 2020 were less than 3% of total while our program expenses were 97% of total. For context, Charity Navigator gives its highest rating to organizations whose program expenses are 85% or more of total. Our 3% operating expenses are critical for our mission. We are able to reach so many families in part due to a small core team of passionate, dedicated staff focused on communications, marketing, fundraising, partnerships, and other critical needs.

Our ultimate vision is a world where Lasagna Love isn’t needed, because neighborly kindness has been woven back into the fabric of our everyday lives. Pursuing this vision takes a village; we thank you for becoming part of ours.
