Lasagna Love

Last year was an incredibly successful year for Lasagna Love. In July 2024 alone, 5,143 volunteer chefs from across the country delivered homemade meals to more than 39,795 neighbors in need. Every person fed, every connection made – that’s a victory we’re proud of.

But the impact didn’t stop at the dinner table. Lasagna Love also achieved a major win in the world of public relations with our partners at Hawthorne Strategy Group. We were honored with the 2025 Gold Bulldog PR Award for Best Campaign on a Shoestring Budget.

The Bulldog Awards celebrate the best and brightest in corporate communications and public relations. According to its website, it’s the only PR awards program judged exclusively by journalists and we go above and beyond to help you build your personal or business profile in the industry.

Over the course of the year, Lasagna Love was featured in the media more than 245 times, with stories reaching more than 119 million views – all without spending a dime on advertising. These results came from a relentless, grassroots approach: real stories, told by real people.

We elevated our local volunteers—the ones delivering meals, supporting their neighbors and building stronger communities—as our spokespeople. Their firsthand experiences resonated with journalists and readers alike, helping Lasagna Love stand out as a people-powered movement.

And the results? They speak for themselves. Media visibility translated into real-world impact: spikes in volunteer sign-ups, donor inquiries, newsletter subscribers, and social media engagement. In short, we didn’t just make headlines – we grew our mission.

Now, we’re carrying that momentum into 2025. This July, our goal is to feed 50,000 neighbors in need. With the support of those who discovered us through last year’s stories, and the incredible dedication of our volunteer network, we know we can get there.

We’re proud of the award. But we’re even prouder of the impact behind it – and the growing community that makes it all possible.
