Lasagna Love didn’t begin with a business plan or a fundraising campaign. It began the same way thousands of acts of kindness begin every day: one person noticed someone else could use a little help.

One homemade lasagna became one delivery. One delivery inspired another. Then another. Before long, neighbors across the country were opening their kitchens and sharing meals from their homes with families they had never met. What grew wasn’t just an organization. It was a movement built on a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel seen, cared for, and supported, and every one of us has something meaningful to give.

Today, Lasagna Love has grown into a global neighbor-to-neighbor movement with volunteers serving communities across the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Together, they’ve delivered hundreds of thousands of homemade lasagnas, impacting millions of people with more than a meal.

How It Works

One of the things people love most about Lasagna Love is how simple it is.

Neighbors who want to help sign up as volunteer Lasagna Chefs, choose how often they’d like to cook, how far they’re willing to travel, and any dietary accommodations they’re comfortable preparing. From there, our volunteer matching platform thoughtfully connects them with someone nearby requesting a homemade meal. Need doesn’t have qualifications. There are no eligibility requirements, no proof of need, and no judgment. If someone says they could use a little help, we believe them. Some deliveries happen with hugs and conversations on the front porch. Others are quietly left at the door. Every family is different, and every volunteer meets people where they are. Because at the end of the day, it isn’t about the delivery. It’s about reminding someone they aren’t alone.
